Apparement le livre ne parle pas beaucoup de F1 mais se concentre sur Kimi avant tout, donc je ne crois pas qu’il se prête au jeu de comparer ses équipes et équipiers etc.

Il parle d’une fête où il portait une combinaison de ski en 2003 :

In the winter of 2003, Räikkönen partied at his friend’s place in Levi, Lapland, where he had invited British McLaren teammates and some Finnish friends. The evening included sauna, drinking and sledging.
At some point Räikkönen noticed something in the showcase. It was a 4-time olympic gold medal ski jumper Matti Nykänen’s jumping suit from Calgary's golden olympics (1988). Räikkönen decided to wear it and showed his jumping skills by jumping from the loft to the pillows and continued the damp night wearing a suit.
In the morning, Räikkönen’s friend found him standing in a big drying cabinet still in full sleep. When Räikkönen woke up, he explained that he managed to wet the jumpin suit at some point and he wanted to get it dry. He pressed the drying cabinet to 45 degrees for ten hours and slept as he stood. Eventually the suit and the man had dried well, and therefore the suit could be returned to the showcase.

"Räikkönen's hazy, booze-filled 16 day journey which took him form Bahrian to Helsinki and Espoo via Switzerland, is relived in Kari Hotakainen's new book.
Everything started when Raikkönen - piloting Lotus at the time - managed to persuade Kimmo Pikkarainen (who played ice hockey in Italy) to visit Kimi at his home in Switzerland and then to continue on to the Bahrian GP a few days later. The race on the 22nd of April was a success for Räikkönen as the Finnish star came in second. This set in motion a celebration which only came to an end 16 days later in Espoo.
The first event on the agenda was a party organised by the Prince of Bahrain, to which Raikkonen and Pikkarainen were lured by David Coulthard. The duo knocked back drink after drink but at some point Pikkarainen lost sight of Räikkönen. A moment later Räikkönen shows up, soaking wet, and slams his sodden mobile phone on the table. Kimi grunts something unintelligible about a guy who'd shoved him in the pool, apparently some words had been exchanged. Shortly thereafter the Prince of Bahrain, known to be a die-hard Kimi fan, heard about the incident and commenced a search to find the guilty party. The culprit turned out to be a friend of the Prince's son and the Prince threw both the friend, as well as his son trying to defend the actions of his friend, out of the party. The Prince also promised Räikkönen and Pikkarainen a ride back to Switzerland on-board his private jet so that the duo would not have to be bothered with catching the morning flight arranged by Lotus a few hours later.
The party continued at casa Räikkönen in Switzerland. At some point the two, apparently inspired by Diego Maradona, decided to play some football (soccer). Räikkönen, who was the goalie, ended up twisting his ankle. This turned out to be a bit problematic as Lotus would be testing in a few days. Räikkönen went to see Aki Hintsa at Aki's private clinic and asked for Hintsa to call Lotus to ensure that the explanation concerning his injury would sound plausible. "The ankle was black as the night but the morale was high: the Lotus test session could be skipped and the drinking could continue despite the physical handicap" writes Hotakainen.
A few days later the duo got the bright idea to go to Finland to celebrate the First of May. The number of members in the party grew as the days went by. Karaoke-bar, the private sauna/bar area of a machine shop located on Kuruntie in Espoo, Kimi's summer house on Cape Porkkala and the local dive bar where Jukka Poika was performing. "The music is reggae-pop; catchy, swaying. It resembled the offbeat, foggy landscape inside Kimi's and Piki's heads" Hotakainen describes.
The boozing continued for 16 days until Räikkönen noted that it's race week once again, he's suposed to travel to Barcelona on Wednesday. Räikkönen recuperates for a few days, hops into his F1 car and finishes the race on Sunday on third place.
"Well then, happy Mother's Day to all mothers", said Räikkönen in the post-race presser"

J’aurais bien aimé un livre où il parle d’Alonso qu’il a côtoyé depuis leurs 20 ans et à presque 40 : ils sont les 2 titans des années 2000 sans jamais trop se calculer j’ai l’impression.

Parler de l’époque mclaren, Ron Dennis aussi etc.

Mais comme il l’a dit sur Nextgen, il s’en fout que son livre me plaise ou pas What a Face

Après peut-être qu'il y a aussi beaucoup de passages sur la F1... Dans les bio de pilotes que j'ai lues récemment, y a autant d'anecdotes hors circuit que sur circuit

A voir, d’après les finlandais de reddit qui l’ont lu ils disent que l’auteur est complètement en dehors de la F1 et qu’ils n’en parlent pas beaucoup. On est vraiment dans le cercle très privé de Raikko mais la partie professionnelle n’est qu’évoquée.

Le livre sort le 18 octobre en anglais, je pense que d’ici là on aura largement eu de quoi se faire une idée plus précise grâce aux extraits choisis qui vont sortir sur les sites de F1. Et si il n’y a aucun extraits choisis par les sites 100% F1, c’est que ça ne parlait que de beuverie. What a Face

Voilà ce que disent les forumeurs qui l’ont lu :

« It seems like this book is more about the person, not the racing driver. All the excerpts so far have been about his personal life and the writer isn't a motor sports person. I wouldn't expect a lot of details of his F1 career, at least not races, tactics, technology or things like that. »

« After reading the first chapter and glancing through the book, I'd say this correct. The focus is definitely on the person and the persons closest to him. However there is considerable insight into F1 world especially outside the sporting aspect. How groundbreaking any of this will be to an F1 fan remains to be seen. »

If Kimi likes a bar, he wants to stay there for a long time. Fifteen hours isn’t unusual.
The moment Kimi got his driver’s license he dropped out of car mechanic school, packed his Lada and moved to Holland to do karting.
He drove cars long before getting that license, one time practically destroying the tires of a rental car in Italy because he wanted to drift with it in a roundabout.
The story about avoiding the military police is actually even better than that: he was drunk and late so he couldn’t use the main entrance, instead choosing to climb over the fence. He and his buddy were seen before they went over, Kimi hid in a ditch while his friend was caught there. Kimi climbed over the fence while the military police was searching for him with dogs and crawled his way back to his barrack, planning to hide there until morning. Unfortunately his mate had told theirs superiors about him so Kimi was caught hiding in his bed muddy and covered in twigs and leaves, also drunk. When his superiors questioned him about how the fuck he got past the dogs he answered: “That’s what you teach us here, we are scouts.” He got confined to barracks for about 20 days which was the new unofficial record.

Kimi and his buddies found powder used for treating rashes onboard a rental plane. They march through the customs covered in white powder. When asked where they’re coming from, Kimi said: “Colombia”
2006, Kimi and his buddies want to go cheer for the Finnish national hockey team in the winter Olympics. McLaren borrows them a Mercedes-Benz minivan that isn’t out yet or hasn’t been presented anywhere. On their way to Torino Toni Vilander gets motion sick and throws up on the bonnet. On the way back to Switzerland Kimi feels like the middle console is in his way, rips it off and throws out full speed. Next resting spot the group starts rearranging the letters on the rear end of the car, changing the name. They hide inside when Mercedes’ people come to pick up the car.
He and Jenni (his ex-wife) both cheated on each other
When he and Minttu were getting serious he promised her to be a good boyfriend: no cheating and no lying
Kimi decided to take the risk and invite Minttu over without other ppl bc he had been thinking about her for a month non-stop
When Robin was born he was a nervous wreck thinking what if something goes wrong, am I going to be any good at this, do I dare to touch him, I’m too scared to try to put clothes on him bc he’s going to break
First he hoped Robin would sleep, then when Robin did he kept watch to make sure Robin was breathing and that he didn’t roll onto his tummy and suffocate
Leaving the kids for races is horrible and sickeningly harrowing, especially when Robin is hanging onto his leg til the last minute bc he doesn’t want Kimi to go
It’s amazing to come home after a week or two to see how much the kids have grown and learned in such a short time
Kimi and his dad had an unresolved fight over his dad’s drinking before his dad died in 2010 Rallying helped him process his dad’s death, otherwise he thinks he would have just ended up drinking way too much as well
In the press conference he was asked what kind of a dad he wants to be and his answer was: “Good and beloved”
He won’t really care if Robin decides he wants to be an F1 driver but he’ll leave tagging along to the paddock to Minttu
According to the other new Ferrari boss Louis Camilleri who was invited to their wedding, Kimi gave Minttu a spontaneous 10-minute speech and it was “one of the most beautiful speeches he has ever heard”
He also says Kimi treats everyone the same whether they’re a CEO or a cleaner, and that while there’s a lot of arrogance in F1, there’s none to be found in Kimi
Kimi has atopic eczema
He can’t wear watches bc they irritate his skin and sometimes if you see him scratching his neck after races, it’s bc the eczema has flared up during the race and it’s painful
Otherwise if you see him scratching his neck while talking to the media, it means he’s pissed off he has to be there according to his mom
Kimi loves the Finnish singer Irwin Goodman, and has seen the movie made about him, called Rentun ruusu (The Rose of the Rascal), dozens of times
He and his friends always take a candle to the place where Irwin died to remember him

Robin gets mad when Kimi leaves and is grumpy even for a couple of days after he comes back

Re coucou

Son livre cartonne monstrueusement en Finlande, déjà en rupture de stock.

Je retiens surtout que son père possède littéralement 3 boulots différents en même temps pour le financement des débuts en karting. Un énorme sacrifice pour une magnifique récompense fin 2007.

Par contre, apparemment il évoque fin 2013 et son départ de chez Lotus. J'ai lu ça sur un site en Finnois donc je suis pas 100% certain de la traduction mais apparemment Lopez essaye de faire un truc douteux pour qu'il évite de lui verse son salaire (6 millions d'euros), en liquidant les dettes en plaçant l'écurie en faillite pour mieux la faire revivre sur un nouveau nom, enfin une histoire comme ça, Raikkonen lui reproche également de pas pouvoir verser les salaires (lui mais aussi l'équipe) alors qu'il s'achète constamment des grosses voitures de sport pour sa collection et étale sa richesse.

C’est surtout pour dire qu’il est respectueux avec n’importe qui, que tu sois un riche jet setter ou un inconnu bûcheron finlandais je pense.

Quand Marchionne était là sur les GP c’était marrant Kimi avait à chaque fois l’air d’un enfant en face du grand patron.

Je sais pas si il parle de la fois où il avait son pantalon baissé au moment de se faire virer d’une boîte de strip tease à Londres non plus...

Oh que oui, un putain de gâchis. Entre erreur de pilotage étonnante de sa part (Australie, Monaco, Belgique, Singapour) et grosse malchance (France, Valence, Canada). A l'époque, c'est quand même improbable de ce dire que 10 ans plus tard, Räikkönen est toujours chez Ferrari avec beaucoup plus la côte auprès des dirigeants de la Scuderia. Laughing

Mais bon, sa saison décevante empêche pas le titre constructeur pour Ferrari vu que Kovalaine est encore plus décevant.
